My Top 3 Favorite Websites

Three of my favorite Websites are
-Youtube.com
-Myspace.com
-Google.com

Youtube is a website where you can view, share, and upload video clips. Youtube uses Adobe Flash technology to show the videos. I enjoy going to Youtube because they have videos for pretty much anything you can imagine. Youtube has TV clips and music videos, amateur content such as videoblogging and short original videos.

Myspace allows you to create a place for you to share what you are thinking with the world. MySpace makes it easy to post all about you. The first thing you do is post a profile with your name, town, interests, school, sexual orientation, movies, books, and music you like, who your heroes are and much more. Myspace is great to keep in contact with those who live a long distance from you. You may have a network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music and videos that can be shared internationally. I like myspace because it's a fun way to talk to my friends, discover new music, and look at photos.

Google is a search engine that started in the U.S. It's mission statement is "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful." Google helps me a lot with everything. I mainly use google to get research for school and help me out with homework.

Kilauea Volcano

Kilauea is the youngest and one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Kilauea is located on the southeastern flank of Mauna Loa on the Big Island. At Kilauea you can hike through the rainforest, experience vents spewing steam, see brand new land being created, ancient Hawaiian petroglyphs, and walk-through lava tubes. The summit of Kilauea lies on a curving line of volcanoes that includes Mauna Kea and Kohala and excludes Mauna Loa. Since it's current eruption in January 1983, it has been continuously flowing. Lava erupting from the Pu'u 'O'o cone flows through a tube system down the Pulama pali about 7 miles to the sea. Kilauea is also home to the Hawaiian volcano goddess, Pele. Hawaiian chants and traditions told of many eruptions caused by an angry Pele. Kilauea is among the world's most active volcanoes and may even top the list.

Hapuna Beach

Hapuna is a wonderful white sandy beach that stretches about a half mile long and two-hundred feet wide. Hapuna is the biggest beach on the Big Island. Conditions are usually excellent year-round. High winter surf often erodes the beach considerably, but still leaves beachgoers more than enough sand for various activities. This beach has been frequently voted the best beach in the U.S. The water is crystal clear and beautiful greenery surrounds the area. Hapuna is great for swimming, bodyboarding, snorkeling, and sun-bathing. Hapuna is the dries spot on the Big Island. This beach includes restrooms, showers, picnic tables, picnic pavilion, food concession, and lifeguards usually on duty. Hapuna Beach State Park is the most popular and widely visited beach park on the Big Island. Visitors and residents often travel many miles, from as far away as the Hilo and Puna districts, mostly on weekends and holidays, to spend the day at Hapuna. The large numbers of beachgoers pose no problems during the summer months when the ocean is calm, but during the winter months, there are very serious water safety problems. Other hazards other than big surf and drowning are Portuguese man-of-war. Hapuna is without a doubt, one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful beach in Hawaii.
